Be a Part of The Ariel Family! Volunteering for the Ariel organization is a rewarding and helpful experience. The Ariel has a full schedule of events throughout the year, and has many opportunities for community service. Please stop in and talk with us. We will be happy to help you find your Ariel opportunity!

Auditions:
Auditions are also a great way to be involved with The Ariel-Dater Hall. We have two in-house community theatre groups; The Ariel Players and The Ariel Jr. Theatre.

The Ariel Players and The Ariel Jr. Theatre presents numerous productions each year. The 2006-2007 season boasts an exciting line-up of productions, including; "The Jungle Book", "A Christmas Carol", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Diary of Anne Frank", "The Twelve Dancing Princesses", as well as additional projects still in planning stages.

"We encourage everyone interested in being a part of the Ariel productions to consider participating in an audition. We strive to create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere in all that we do. We understand that auditions can be a bit intimidating. We enjoy what we do, and we do our best to make sure the experience of an Ariel production is enjoyable for everyone, from the audition process through the final curtain call of each production."

The Ariel Players: Casts productions primarily with adults. We do, occasionally use children, or older teens, as the need arises. Each production will have specific casting needs that will vary from show to show.

The Ariel Jr. Theatre: Casts productions primarily with school-aged children, grades 2-12. These productions generally have large casts. Parents are expected to assist in various aspects of the shows.

Persons planning to audition should be aware of the production dates, and rehearsal schedule. Each production has a rehearsal period of 6-10 weeks, cast members are expected to be available for rehearsals throughout the project. Participants will be asked to provide a listing of performance experience. (Experience is never required to participate.) Each audition is different. Please contact the Ariel for specific questions about what to expect when attending an audition for a particular show. We will be happy to answer your questions.

The Ariel Players and The Ariel Jr. Theatre are true community theatre groups. Everyone involved is expected to help in many capacities, including; promotions, set building, costumes, etc. We seek participants with enthusiasm and team spirit!
